In July 2010, the Children’s Aid Foundation of Ottawa welcomed Cheryl Burwash as the new Executive Director.
Cheryl has held various management positions in Marketing, Communications and Community Affairs during a 30-year career in the private sector.
In her role as Executive Director, Cheryl has already made great strides in leading the Foundation’s efforts to inspire and empower children and young adults supported by the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa. Since her arrival, Cheryl and the Foundation staff accomplished two successful annual events, raising over $70,000 to support education and enrichment opportunities for children at risk of neglect and abuse.
These events would not be possible without the generosity of our donors, corporate partners, the Foundation’s Board of Directors and our volunteers, who work together to make futures brighter.
