At age 15, Emily was placed in the care of the CAS due to a neglectful home environment. She grew up in a series of foster homes before finding the loving and stable foster family that was right for her. Upon completion of high school, Emily was able to attend post-secondary education through the Foundation’s Dare to Dream Bursary Program. She is currently enrolled at La Cité Collégiale and after graduation, plans to further her education by attending university.
