Enrichment opportunities nurture healthy development and social skills for at risk children and young adults. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to participate in socially rewarding activities, regardless of the difficult start that many in the care of the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa may experience.
Cookie Jar Fund
The Cookie Jar Fund provides financial assistance for sports, recreational and cultural opportunities, as well as basic necessities for children, young adults and families in the care of the CAS of Ottawa. From karate lessons for a young child, to a washer and dryer for a single mother’s new apartment, the Cookie Jar Fund provides those “extra” items or opportunities to those who need them the most.
Miracle Fund
The Miracle Fund was established in 1999 at the Children’s Aid Foundation in Toronto. The fund provides life-enhancing opportunities to children, young adults and families in need. These opportunities include such things as school trips, recreational activities and basic necessities. The Miracle Fund provides those small “miracles” that make a big difference.
Camp
Swimming, canoeing, eating s’mores by the fire - these are all memories that children should experience, despite the many challenges that they have already faced. The Foundation provides funds for at risk children and young adults in the Ottawa area to attend camp.
